WAYRT?

What Are You Reading Today?

------------------

I Have a sh*theap of Books, Magazines, Archive and Reference media that ever gets touched...I suppose this would be one of the main reasons for my creative drought lately. Most of the Books I buy sit on the shelf for years before i get a chance to crack them open - Although, some of them have been read, some multiple times, and others left unfinished.

Why let everything go to waste. I propose to myself a plan to finish at least 2 books a week from now on.
Effective - Immediately. I'll be Picking them up at Random.

Maybe if i leave them in the bathroom and eat more indian food, they might get read faster??

The Lonely Ones By William Steig

While diverting myself away from working in the dessert heat during Duncan demos last month, Seth and I discovered a string of side of the road Antique emporiums. We picked the darkest hole in the wall we could find. We found brief shelter, shade and air conditioning amid a Deco credenza, a dung-heap of Elvis memorabilia and a curio full of homels figurines.
I Love digging through second hand american kitsch.

We did a good walk through, cooled off, and realized we still had an audience of Kids to attend to. Upon my exit, i noticed a bad ass illustrated Children's Book. Overly comfortable on time with my "Break", I just grabbed it and paid the store clerk.

I Just recently had a chance to flip through this Book. The Drawings are really dope. I originally assumed this was a children's book, but the obscure illustrations and their one-liners seem a bit too melancholic and saddening. I couldn't find much info on it, this book is a mystery...First Print? I was pretty inspired flipping through it, and I'm glad i forked over the $13 for it.

Gentlemen Broncos

Accompanying a Rotten tomatoes percentage of a whopping 13%, is this over all Critic impression.

Consensus: Unselfconsciously juvenile and overwhelmingly quirky, Gentlemen Broncos offers a lot of potty humor but isn't terribly funny.

I generally agree with most reviews, and this time wasn't any different - "Overwhelmingly Quirky" ?? I think i kind of expected that coming from the Writers/Director of "Napoleon" and "Nacho". You ain't wrong there, movie critics! This Movie isn't the worst thing out right now though, critics are being a bit harsh with their 13% rating. I believe this type of humor is just ahead of its time and can be so eccentric it tends to fly over most people's heads... Definitely an acquired taste - Like a Cap'n'crunch, Pixie-sticks and Bologna Sandwich. (Guess what movie!)

Sam Rockwell delivers another captivating multi-role performance as the lead hero in a teenager's sci-fi Fantastial world.
The Quirky and Eccentric personalities in this movie flourish and are suspended by their more absurdly mannerisms throughout the film. I personally feel that, Attention Deficit Disorder Humor aside, this movie is just fantasy laugh facade masquerading the underlying and indispensable REALITY that is Copyright Infringement, Creative Plagiarism and Intellectual Property.

hahahaha was that an overstatement? This movie is Deep, yo.

Heyyy Brothers!

It's been a long crazy Halloween for the Hulkster, man. Lots of Hulkamania Fans @ Live105/Spookfest showing love and support. WWF rolled through hard: Hulkamania, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man Randy Savage, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jake the Snake Roberts and Sgt. Slaughter. Oh yeah, Brothers it was intense. 18 year old babes going wild for Hulkamania. $15 shots and Basement Jaxx.

Saturday, was wild, man. Earlier this year i hit rock bottom, brothers. My Wife left me, My son got in a car accident, Gladiator is off the Air, and My Tanning Bed Broke. Hardcore Rock Bottom, brothers. I needed a Drink, Man. So I got the Guys together and headed out to the Mission for Halloween for Drunkamania 2009, Brothers. It went down.

Shoutout to the Commissioner, Mankind.
